We recently caught up with some past MarCom interns to see what they are up to now. It was no surprise to us that they are all doing great!
Kody Davis interned the summer of 2016 at Rogue Heart Media. He graduated from Whitworth University the following year with a degree in Marketing and currently works at Boeing as a Supply Chain Management Analyst.
In his current role he manages a fastener manufacturer that produces around 8,000 parts, maintains stock levels, and mitigates potential airplane shortages.
When asked about his time at Rogue Heart Media he said, “the biggest thing that Rob and Megan taught me was what it looks like to be the owner and creator of your own future. Rob and Megan are a great example of how a dream can be attained through hard work, dedication, and most importantly, honesty. I have taken this personal hustle attitude with me…”
Kelsey Burns is currently an Associate Marketing Innovation Manager at T-Mobile. She interned at Valleyfest during the summer of 2018 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Communications from Gonzaga University.
In her current position at T-Mobile she researches emerging market trends, identifies revenue opportunities, creates concept briefs for leadership, develops strategy, and works cross-functionally to launch prioritized innovations.
“My MarCom internship taught me how to work cross-functionally with teams as I created an 18-page event publication for Valleyfest. This experience has helped me in my current role at T-Mobile as I create new innovations with teams across the enterprise. It all ties back to clear communication as teams plan, align and adapt strategies,” stated Kelsey.
Emma Heath also interned the summer of 2018. As a MarCom intern she worked at Numerica Credit Union and then graduated from Whitworth University with a degree in Communications Studies and a minor in Visual Communications.
She currently works at Oxyfresh in Coeur d’Alene as a Social Media and Event Specialist. In this position she manages all of Oxyfresh’s social accounts, digital advertising, and local and national events.
We are so proud of these professionals who represented MarCom as student interns and are now making advancements in their careers!
