Congratulations to our 2011 MarCom Interns and Hosts!
Spokane MarCom named three local university students to receive communications internships for this summer:
Kayla
Davison, a Gonzaga University student majoring in public relations and
sociology, is interning with Erin Freehan of Boys and Girls Clubs of Spokane
County. To this internship, she brings past experiences as an intern with the Holy
Family Hospital Foundation, Gonzaga’s marketing department and as the Shaw
Middle School Dance Club Advertising Coordinator.
Molly
Ferree, a Whitworth University student double majoring in journalism and
marketing with a visual communication minor, has been paired with John Carter
of Saint George’s School. Her work with the Whitworth Admissions office will be
applied as she assists John with the Saint George’s Magazine, admissions
calendar, parent newsletters, online advertising, Facebook posts and web page
content.
Kelsie
Kleiber, a Gonzaga University student majoring in public relations with a
business minor, will be spending the summer with Teresa Ide, Jeanna Hoffmeister
and the rest of the Spokane Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau. In
addition to her work with Gonzaga-in-Florence Ambassadors and the
Gonzaga-in-Zambezi Intercultural Leadership Program, she previously interned
with Allegiant Travel Company. Obviously, she enjoys traveling and we look
forward to hearing about what she brings to the CVB.
The hosts
for these talented interns were selected from a competitive field of MarCom
members. The 2011 internship hosts are:
Erin Freehan, Boys and Girls Clubs of Spokane County
John Carter, Saint George’s School
Teresa Ide and Jeanna Hoffmeister, Spokane Regional
Convention and Visitors Bureau
