For MarCom's April program, we are excited to present a panel on branding with three local business owners that have built successful and reputable brands on a budget. Our panel speakers will be Bobby Enslow, Founder and CEO of Indaba, Sara Desautel Douville, Owner of YogaJoy, and Sally Winfrey, Owner of Sweet Frostings. They will discuss how they developed and grew their brands without a large marketing budget, how they've stood out in saturated industries, what they've found to be most important in growing their brand, what they've done for free to make a big impact, and more!

About Sally Winfrey
Sally worked her way up to regional salesperson for food giant ADM Milling Co. So, when her good friend Judy asked her to give it all up to start a bakery, naturally she said “NO WAY”. Eventually the idea of spending less time on the road won over, and Sally brought her extensive baking experience to Sweet Frostings. She has since bought the company and has opened a few new stores, making 4 locations total. Sally currently oversees them with help from her daughter Jessica.
Sally was raised in the small Washington town of Gig Harbor and later attended Tacoma Community College for Business Management. After decorating cakes at Safeway for 11 years, she was promoted to bakery merchandiser and relocated to the Inland Northwest.she became a merchandiser for URM Stores. In 2000, she took a sales position with ADM Milling Co., which gave her the opportunity to attend the American Institute of Baking. Sally and her husband David have three children.
