Teresa Conway: EWU Director of Marketing and Communications
Teresa began her career at EWU 11 years ago as a writer/editor in the Office of Marketing & Communications, eventually assuming the role of director where she oversees the strategic marketing and communication efforts for Eastern Washington University. She works with a talented staff of writers, designers and multimedia professionals to help shape and share the incredible stories behind EWU students, faculty and alumni in support of enrollment, retention and fundraising initiatives. Her work includes developing marketing plans for various academic programs and overseeing all external communications to ensure that university branding standards are met.
Before joining the world of higher education in 2006, Teresa worked for 15 years in broadcast television as an award-winning reporter, anchor and producer. During that time she worked in markets in Montana, Alaska and finally, Spokane, covering everything from the Unabomber Grand Jury to fishing with Alaskan brown bears to the reawakening of Mount St. Helens. She earned her BA from the University of Montana in Missoula, in 1992.
Sam Buzby: EWU Manager of Digital Communications
Between his time as a student and as a member of EWU’s Marketing and Communications team, Sam has been with Eastern for nearly 15 years. Trained in print, web and multimedia design along with social and new media marketing, Sam is a versatile creator who applies fresh thinking and common sense to everything he does. He carries that norm-disrupting attitude into his current role overseeing a fast-paced redesign of EWU’s website, set to launch its first iteration in August. More: ewu.edu/digitalinitiative
Michelle Hege: CEO of DH
A senior strategist with deep experience in developing communications and marketing programs to support key business objectives, Michelle provides strategic counsel to boards, executive teams and communication teams to help organizations overcome challenges, maximize opportunities and engage their important constituencies.
Higher education is a real passion for Michelle. She has been fortunate to work with some of the Northwest’s leading institutions, including Eastern Washington University, Gonzaga University, Community Colleges of Spokane, Washington State University and Central Washington University. She has a knack for bringing together students, staff, faculty, donors, alumni and community members and engage them in helping to shape communication strategy.

Beth Bousley: Director of Communications and Customer Service of Spokane Transit Authority
Beth Bousley joined Spokane Transit's executive team in September 2013. She brings 25 years' experience leading marketing, communications and customer service efforts on both the client and agency side for major corporations including AT&T, T-Mobile, Microsoft, Expedia, Baxter, and Novartis, as well as local entities Washington Apple Commission and Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute.
Beth Holds her MBA from UCLA, and a B.A. in Social Welfare from UC Berkeley. Beth and her husband Lance love Spokane, moving here in 2008 to be closer to their grandchildren. She enjoys participating in running events and sprint triathlons, and is a member of the Spokane Symphony Chorale.
Nico Archer: Account Director at DH
Nico epitomizes the team player. He knows collaboration is the secret to bigger and more creative ideas. He excels at connecting the dots others might not see and designing fresh, innovative ways of approaching campaigns particularly in the realm of digital media.
Nico holds a Masters of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University and B.A in Literature from University of California Santa Cruz.
