The Spark Awards are presented by the Spokane Regional Marketing and Communications Association (Spokane MarCom) to recognize the best work by local marketing, communications and public relations professionals.

Local professionals submitted nearly 70 entries ranging from publications and feature stories to website design and media relations campaigns. The award entries were judged by the Puget Sound Chapter of the American Marketing Association and Keokee, a Marketing Communications firm in Sandpoint, Idaho. The top entries out of all submissions received Brightest Spark Awards.

The Dussault Award was chosen from the Brightest Spark Awards at the discretion of the judges. This “best of show” award must receive high scores and be recognized as a campaign/program that had a significant impact on the economy and prosperity of our region. The winner of the Dussault Brightest Spark Award was the “Stink Bug Trap Product Launch” by RESCUE! Pest Control Products.

The judges of this year’s Spark Awards had this to say about the Dussault Brightest Spark Award:

“RESCUE!’s Stink Bug Trap Product Launch was a winner because of its integrated approach and execution. All customer contact points were covered in a creative yet consistent way. The target audience was described in detail along with measureable objectives and results. Their approach created demand and they had a good understanding of the market and its needs.  While not a product that you would think would be fun and creative, RESCUE! handled the launch of their Stink Bug Trap creatively and smartly.”
